Good evening,
Due to the inclement weather and the winter storm warning, there will be no school on Monday, January 6th. for Glasgow Independent Schools. We will makeup this snow day on Tuesday, February 18th. Stay safe and warm. Go Scotties!

Parents, starting Monday, you can use the Glasgow Independent Schools, KY app to submit an electronic attendance excuse for your student. Please reach out to your child's school if you have any issues with this new app feature.

Happy New Year from Glasgow Independent Schools.
School will resume for students on Monday, January 6th.

Congratulations to our December Top Dogs! They demonstrated encouragement throughout the whole month!

May the magic of the season bring you joy and peace.
Happy Holidays from Glasgow Independent Schools.

To learn about Economics, our 5th graders opened a Christmas Market! They made items to sell, got "paid" wages, had to pay taxes, then sold their items. They even had to adjust prices based on supply and demand!

It's a Grinchy Thursday at SGE! We had lots of Grinches and Whos!

Our 3rd graders have put in so much hard work on their animal research projects! After completing their written reports, they designed informative slideshows to share what they’ve learned with their classmates.

To practice argumentative writing, these students did a Christmas Movie Bracket! Students attempted to get others to vote their way by saying why movies were better, or why others weren't as good, and back up their opinions with evidence and examples! We heard about character development, plot lines, humor, and themes!

These Scotties enjoyed seeing The Louisville Ballet's Nutcracker and lunch at Culver's!

Thanks to our substitute teachers that are all-in on dress up days and being dedicated to our students!
